FESTIVAL OF CHRISTMAS AT BLETCHLEY PARK

Released : Nov 23, 2009
Sunday 13th December, 4pm to 7pm

This year, the Festival of Christmas at Bletchley Park will be bigger and better than ever before.  With a Christmas market, lots of entertainment for the children, delicious turkey rolls, mince pies and steaming glasses of mulled wine, there will be something for the whole family.  Around 24 stalls will sell a range of potential Christmas gifts and food items, including handmade cards and jams, jewellery, crystals, plant displays, gift boxes, embroidery and more, all in the splendid and warm setting of the Mansion.

We have spoken with Santa who has promised to do all that he can to be there – can’t think that he will have anything else to do at this time of year!

Entertainment will be provided by CK Gospel Choir; JP Jazz will be bringing a different impression of Christmas, together with the Diamond School of Performing Arts, with its superb choir and maybe a modern take on the nativity.  To keep the kids occupied while mum and dad shop, Milton Keynes Play Association will have a range of activities, plus there will be fairground rides and candy floss.  Local street artists, Festive Road, will be working with three local primary schools, helping the youngsters to make colourful lanterns, which they will parade around the oval lawn at Bletchley Park at 5pm.

Delicious turkey rolls, mince pies and hot drinks, including mulled wine, will be on sale in the restaurant.  Entrance and car parking is free after 4pm on the day of the event.
