On Friday 19 September Dr Fran Allen, the first and only woman ever to win the Association of Computing Machinery’s prestigious AM Turing Award, came face to face with Mavis Batey, accomplished WW2 Codebreaker.
Bletchley Park Trust has today announced a fascinating series of lectures for the Winter season from October 2008 through to April 2009. All the lectures will be held in the atmospheric Bletchley Park Mansion, which is steeped in history and provides an atmospheric setting.

On Thursday 24 July TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall spent a busy couple of hours at Bletchley Park meeting veterans and admiring exhibitions.
Ian Fleming acted as liaison officer between Naval Intelligence and Bletchley Park throughout the war. Sadly he died in 1964, ten years before the ban on talking about Bletchley Park was lifted. This exhibition tells for the first time the story Fleming could not tell his biographer.
