Because Learning Volunteer work involves contact with children these roles are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. If you are invited to join the Park as a Learning Volunteer, you will need to produce identification documents and a disclosure check with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) will be required.

Desirable
Experience of working in formal classroom or informal learning environments
An awareness of the role museums play in learning
Confidence in interacting with groups of people

If you would like to become a Learning Volunteer at Bletchley Park, then please write to the Education Manager, explaining why you want to join us, and what you could offer our visitors, together with a CV and the names of two referees. Selection
We sift applications as they are received and will reply to all who do apply. Selected candidates will be invited for an informal interview. For successful interviewees, this will then be followed by reference vetting and police checks.

Training
Successful Learning Volunteer applicants receive induction and training to provide them with an introduction to Bletchley Park, covering orientation issues and specific training for their new roles.
