A few of these young women have become well-known but many more have not. Mark returns to cast light on a poorly appreciated side of S.O.E. operations in Europe and the truly appalling treatment meted out to some of the women.

The Winter Lecture Series will be held on the second Thursday of each month from October 2009 through until April 2010, excluding December. All the lectures will be held in the Mansion and whenever possible in the Ballroom. Except for the first lecture of the series, which starts at 7pm, lectures will commence at 7.30pm and the Mansion is open from 6.30pm. We will endeavour to have a selection of articles from the Trust’s Shop available in the Mansion before and after our lectures. The ticket price includes a glass of wine, orange juice or coffee after the lecture.
